The Taytan Duane Wing

Taytan Duane Wing was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 25, 2003. He lived in Big Piney with his parents Chris and Misty (Jones) Meeks and his younger sister Bailey Wing. Taytan's childhood was spent in West Valley, Utah until he and his family moved to Big Piney, Wyoming where he started his freshman year at Big Piney High School.

Taytan was known for his manners and stuck to his "foundation". His work ethic was strong, whether in school, sports, or on the job. Taytan was strong willed and stubborn, yet outgoing and incredibly kind. There wasn't a challenge that Taytan wouldn't take on. Above all, he was trustworthy and a man of integrity. These were all qualities that both coaches and bosses loved. He excelled at football, wrestling and bull riding because of his determination. Taytan enjoyed anything outdoors including fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and teammates.

Taytan is preceded in death by Grandfather David Jones and baby brother Tayton Wing.

Taytan is survived by his parents Misty (Jones) Meeks and Chris Meeks, of Big Piney and father Justin Wing of Heber City, Utah, sister Bailey Wing, Grandmother Alicia Jones of Riverton, Utah, and Grandparents George and Kay Meeks of Big Piney.

We will honor Taytan with a Celebration of Life on April 25, 2020 at 11:30 am at the 130 South Middle Piney/Fish Creek Road, known as the Dan Budd Ranch located at in Big Piney, Wyoming. The service will be held in the pasture next to the house where individuals can stay in their cars to observe the service.
