Tanner Kent Elliott was born on June 16, 1998, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Travis Elliott and Tanya Greenwell. He tragically left us too soon on September 20, 2025, in a motorcycle accident while doing what he loved most.

From a young age, Tanner showed a spirit of adventure and creativity. At just two years old, he moved to Big Piney to help his dad and Pa build Triple Peak Lodge on the TE O'Brien Ranch northwest of town, an experience that helped shape his strong work ethic and love for the outdoors. He enjoyed trying out many sports—including tee ball, soccer, hockey, football, and karate—and had a passion for video gaming and dirt biking. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring the wild.

Tanner's artistic talents shone brightly through drawing, metal art welding, and transforming trash into treasures, showcasing a creative soul with a big heart. Summers found him working at The Daniel Junction and Hughes Enterprises, and in 2014, he stepped out of his comfort zone to participate in the Youth Conservation Corp at Yellowstone National Park, working alongside kids from all over the country on maintenance projects.

A graduate of Big Piney High School in 2016, Tanner furthered his education at Western Wyoming College, where he earned a place on the Dean's List in 2018. Though unsure of his future, he explored different paths—from considering a radio career, where his talent for vocal impressions shined to becoming a tattoo artist. He took a job with Titan Construction where he worked for the next six years.

In 2019, Tanner's adventurous spirit took a turn when he purchased a Ducati SuperSport motorcycle, which would become one of his cherished hobbies. In spring 2024, he relocated to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, taking a new job with Oak Ridge Tool & Engineering, a family-connected company. He embraced this new chapter, making friends through motorcycle clubs, and riding every weekend, discovering joy and belonging.

Tanner was a quiet soul with a generously big heart. He adored his family and friends more than words can say. He is survived by his parents, Travis (Paula) Elliott and Tanya (Steven) Greenwell; his brother, Teagan; stepsiblings KC Greenwell, Colter (Misty) Stene, Tyler Greenwell, Trevor (Jenny) Greenwell, Shelby Greenwell, Sadie Greenwell, Jessica Nicks and Shelby Scott; his grandparents, Kent Profit, Monte Elliott, Esther (Fred) Bridger, Kenny (Doris) Greenwell, Bonnie Pope, and Mike (Maureen) Burd; Though his aunts, uncles and cousins are too large in number to mention here, their great love for Tanner and Tanner's for them is recognized.

A life filled with love, adventure, and kindness has left an indelible mark. Tanner's spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us as we remember the beautiful soul he was.

A funeral service will be held Sunday September 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Marbleton Senior Center. Interment will follow the service in the Plainview Cemetery.
