Sharon Lynne Wiley was born on February 26th, 1942 in Greely, Colorado and passed away peacefully in Pinedale, Wyoming on November 27th, 2023. She was 81 years old.

Sharon was born to Richard D. Johntston and Alice Pauline "Polly" McLean Johnston. After World War II where Richard was killed in Italy fighting for the 10th Mountain Division, Polly married Fred Douglas "Doug" McLaren, Jr. and he adopted Sharon and her sister Sandy. Polly and Doug added baby brother Brian to the family in October 1955.

Her early years were spent moving around Colorado as Doug was attending college and working as a park ranger. They spent time in Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, Grand Lake, Gunnison and Fort Collins. The family then moved to Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park. Sharon attended grade school in both Kelly and Jackson, Wyoming finally graduating from Jackson/Wilson High School in 1960. She attended the University of Wyoming for two years where she was a member of the Phi Beta sorority.

After college she returned to Jackson and worked at Clarks Ready Mix as well as for the US Forest Service where she met and eventually married David Lynn Wiley of Sheridan, Wyoming on May 7th, 1966. Two years later they built their house on the west bank of the Snake River. During their time there the couple welcomed two sons, Bill in November 1970 and Scott in October of 1974. The road was eventually named Wiley Lane, where the family lived until David's passing in 2000. Sharon then downsized and moved to a condo in Rafter J where she lived until 2020 when she and her son Bill moved to Pinedale, Wyoming. She lived with Bill for six months, and then moved into the Sublette Center Retirement home. There she met amazing new friends and was able to live her best life attending concerts, taking road trips, working with local youths and of course attending sporting events. As her cognitive health declined her energy and zest for life never diminished. She was active in her community and loved spending time with children celebrating their success on and off the fields.

Sharon served her community her entire life, always working to make others' lives better and more fulfilling, often not thinking of herself. Sharon was a member of the BPOE Does and was the president for two years and the state President for 1 term. Sharon worked at Teton County School District as a para and eventually as the Head Secretary of Wilson Elementary School for 25 years. When she finally retired, she subbed at all of the local schools and continued to volunteer at many local school events. She was a fixture at football, basketball and baseball games.

Sharon was a member of Jackson's First Baptist Church, and during her time in Pinedale she attended St. Andrews Episcopal Church with many of her friends from the Sublette Center. She was an active member of both of these churches and they were a huge part of her life.

Sharon's enjoyment was centered on family, and no family made her happier than her four grandsons. She loved those boys more than anything on Earth, often bragging about them and their accomplishments. She was often seen wearing clothes supporting their teams, as well as her beloved Denver Broncos. Her well known #7 John Elway jersey was something everyone looked forward to seeing as you knew if she was wearing it she was truly happy.

Sharon is survived by her brother Brian of Arvada, Colorado, her son, Bill of Jackson Hole, Grandsons David and Lyle of Littleton, Colorado, Zach and Tate of Jackson. She left behind two daughters in law Sena of Littleton, Colorado and Cynthia from Jackson. She has many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts all over the Front Range.
