Sharon K. Davis died Feb. 4 th , 2023 after a short stay, just 5 weeks from her beloved husband.
Sharon K. Davis 80, was born in Mountain Home, Idaho, greatly received on May 25 th ,1942 by her parents Harold and Berneice Schooley. The family soon moved to Pinedale where they took up residence along Upper Pine Creek near the old electric power plant operated by the Glen Wise family. Sharon grew up with two older siblings: Ronald and Karen and two younger siblings: Donald and Susan. She grew up riding horses and with family and friends in around Fremont and Soda Lakes. Sharon attended schools in Pinedale and was an active member of the New Fork Lake Girl Scouts and a member of the local Job's Daughters Bethel.
In 1964, she met and married the love of her life Courtney W. Davis. Along with her three children from an earlier marriage, Ricky, Teresa, and Lila they welcomed the birth of their only child Michael in November of 1965. Working together, they purchased the Cowboy Bar in 1970 and for the next 4 decades, they worked tirelessly to provide libations and uplifting humor to locals and seasonal guests. As a mother and later grandmother, Sharon would often squeeze in special camping, and rock hunting excursions. She was an avid supporter of Pinedale athletics and rarely missed a game.
Sharon passed away Saturday February 4 th , 2023 at the Sublette Center in Pinedale at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Berneice Schooley, her older Brother Ronald of Woods Cross, Utah and Sister Karen of Bountiful, Utah, daughter Teresa (Ditton) Herbert of Long Beach, California. She is survived by Brother Don (Mary Ellen) Schooley of Pinedale, Sister Sue Johansen of Pinedale, son Ricky Ditton of Rock Springs, Wyoming, daughter Lila Golden of Pinedale, Wyoming and son Michael (Jeanne) Davis of Pinedale, Wyoming; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will occur at the Cowboy Bar this summer, date and time TBA. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sublette County Health Foundation PO Box 627 Pinedale WY, 82941. With Memo: Memory Care Unit in memory of Courtney and Sharon Davis.
