Roy Wathern Talbott Jr., 75, of Big Piney, Wyoming passed away April 28, 2026 at St. John’s Hospital in Jackson, Wyoming. Roy was born to Roy & Elizabeth (Transue) Talbott Sr. on January 19, 1951 in Tribune, Kansas. He grew up and moved around several places in Colorado when he was young. He married his sweetheart Connie (Comstock) Talbott on March 27, 1981 in Green River, Wyoming. Roy enjoyed being outdoors; he liked to do metal detecting, rock hunting and exploring old abandoned cabins and places around the area of Sublette County. He once found a rusted old knife blank stuck in a tree; the stories some of his finds could tell. Roy worked as a roughneck in the gas field and at the landfill in Kemmerer, he also did a bit of salvaging throughout his life. He is survived by his wife Connie Talbott of 45 years, his sons Roy & Howard Talbott and a daughter Grace Grove. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services are pending.
