Richard Marvin
Pearson
Jul 19, 1948 — Apr 11, 2026
Bondurant
Richard was born in Jackson, Wyoming July 19, 1948 to Marvin and Dorothy (Fronk) Pearson of Bondurant, Wyoming. He grew up on the Fronk Ranches in the upper reaches of Jack Creek in Bondurant. He went to school at Bondurant Elementary then to Jackson High School where he graduated in 1966. He attended both the University of Wyoming and Utah State but did not attain a degree.
He returned to Bondurant where he worked for the Pfisterer Ranch for about 10 years and then went to work for Evans Construction. He became a very skilled excavator operator and worked for Evans for 25 years. During his time with Evans, he worked with the Army Corps of Engineers building the levees on the Snake River and once told me that he'd dug so many holes in Jackson that that's why they had to call it Jackson Hole! He was meticulous in most everything he did.
One of Richard's favorite pastimes was riding his motorcycle; his bike always sparkled. He spent many days riding with friends. Eventually he had covered most of the Western United States' twisty, winding roads all the way from Jasper, Alberta Canada to San Filipe, Mexico. In the past few years after retirement, he fought medical issues; he just couldn't overcome but continued to do whatever he could to help his friends.
Having never married, he leaves behind his significant other of 35 years Pat Burroughs, his sister Sherry Evans and two nephews and many other friends and cousins. At Richard's direction, cremation has taken place and there will not be any services.
As you go about your time, please take a moment to raise a glass or say a prayer, whichever you choose, to mark the passing of a wonderful soul.
