Richard Eugene O'Connor "Rich", 76, of Boulder, Wyoming passed away January 8, 2026.

Rich was born in Lakeview, Oregon to Ted and Ethel O'Connor. He was the second of four children: Tim, Rich, Jerry and Hallie.

He was raised at the Cove Ranch on the west side where his love of ranching and horses started. He graduated from Westside High School in 1968.

He married Mary Tompson in 1969 and they had two children: Gina and Rondo. As their children grew, Rich helped them learn ranching and taught them the rodeo life. Mary and Rich were later divorced.

Rich met Tammy Cook in 2010 and fell in love; they were married November 13, 2012 in Elko, Nevada. Rich taught her how to read a cow, how to cowboy and how to set a horse. They enjoyed camping and fishing together with their grandbabies.

Rich loved his family and enjoyed teaching young kids how to ride; He loved setting at the campfire admiring the open sky and the babies running around.

He passed at home with his sweet wife and stepson Alfred "Buddy" by his side.
