Obituary

Norlin Carl Moore "Bear" 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Big Piney, Wyoming May 28, 2024.

Norlin was born in Grand Junction, Colorado to William and Mae (Peterson) Moore. He had two siblings, brother Edward (Jan) Moore, and sister Edna Moore Dalton. He was raised on a small ranch in Rulison, Colorado and graduated from Grand Valley High School in 1958.

He married his sweetheart Edris Evelyn McAlary February 14, 1960 in Rifle, Colorado; to this union two daughters were born, Angela Kay Moore Streeter and Julie Lynn Moore Mockler.

Norlin worked for Phillips 66 in Rifle, Colorado before he went to work for El Paso Natural Gas. He and his family lived at Piciance Creek/Rio Blanco. He transferred to Big Piney from there. He lived out at Calpet until moving into town in 1978. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas and Northwest Compressor Station and worked for Exxon Mobile until his retirement at the age of 59 ½.

After retirement he took Edris and the loaded-up camper and went to the mountains; he loved hunting and fishing and any outdoor activities. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Norlin is survived by his daughters Angela and Julie (Leo); his brother and sister, Ed (Jan) and Edna; grandchildren Rebecca Streeter, Jessica (Mike) Tomazich, Brandon Sage, Norlin (Angie) Sage; ten great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life Edris, his parents and one great granddaughter. Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
