Henry "Neil" Sommer, 79, passed away on December 18, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was born on November 12, 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT to Henry C. & Iris Sommer. He married Patricia D. Jones in 1973. Neil grew up in Pinedale, Wyoming. He joined the military in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1967 after serving in Germany. After the military, Neil tried his hands at several occupations, but settled into long-haul trucking. He eventually bought his own truck and started Neil Sommer Trucking, which he passed on to his son, Joe. Neil loved to tell stories about his many adventures while on the road. Those stories will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his children, Lacey Sommer, Joseph Sommer, Barry Sommer and wife Thien Nga Nguyen. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia.

A family viewing bill be held on Monday, Dec 27 ^th at 3pm at Memorial Estates Mortuary on Redwood Rd. in Salt Lake City.

Interment, with military honors will be at the Pinedale Cemetery on Thursday, Dec 30 ^th at 11 am.
