Monty Royce Nickerson, 60, of Boulder, Wyoming passed away peacefully at his home December 6, 2025, after an extended illness.

Monty was born June 23, 1965 in Riverton, Wyoming. He graduated from Midwest High School in 1986 and then served his country in the U.S. Navy for 5 years. He attended the University of Wyoming and completed his bachelors degree in California and then worked for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program there for several years before moving and settling back in Boulder, Wyoming.

Monty worked for the Sublette County maintenance department for many years, and he enjoyed woodworking and was a handy craftsman doing many small projects in his spare time.

Monty is survived by his mother Dorothy (Pulley) Nickerson of Pinedale and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Ronald Royce Nickerson; & aunts Nancy Kenyon and Amelia Minkes. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday June 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the Farson Eden Valley Cemetery in Farson, WY. In lieu of flowers family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
