Martin Paul Granica, 76, of Boulder, Wyoming passed away Thursday April 30, 2026. Martin was born June 30, 1949 in Lackawanna, New York to Alexander Joseph and Irene Marie (Kopec) Granica into a family of three other siblings; Joseph, Robert and Elaine. Martin grew up in the Lackawanna-Buffalo, New York area and graduated from Canisius High School in Buffalo. He went on to continue his education at the University of Colorado, Boulder where he graduated with honors; he studied geology and pursued a lifetime career as a geologist that took him to many different places of the world. Martin was an avid ham radio operator, a rock hound, fisherman and loved earth sciences & geology. He was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church. Martin is survived by his son David Granica and family and he is preceded in death by his parents and his son Daniel H. Granica. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday May 19th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Pinedale; inurnment will follow services in the Daniel Cemetery.
