Obituary

Lynne Carol Alexander, 73, of Marbleton, Wyoming passed away August 13, 2025 in Idaho Falls, Idaho after an extended illness. Lynne was born November 12, 1951 in Monticello, Utah to Marlin Claude and Della F. (Hambleton) Dalton. She and her five siblings, Beth, Claudia, Lawanna, Wayne and Bob lived and grew up in Monticello, Moab & Heber City, UT and other mining communities throughout Utah, Nevada & Wyoming. She attended Wasatch High School in Heber City and graduated with the class of 1969.

She had been married to Edwin Casper, Bob Sweatfield, August Tolar and Morris "Sonny" Alexander; all have preceded her in death. Lynne worked most of her career in food service to include dietary aide, waitress, cook and bar tender. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and she enjoyed spending her leisure time camping and hiking on scenic trails. She also enjoyed country music and western dancing and socializing with friends and family.

She is survived by her two sons Ken Casper of South Jordan, UT and Bobbie Sweatfield of Heber City, UT; brother Bob Dalton of Spring Creek, NV; stepchildren Sheila Alexander of Deerfield Beach, FL and Kenny Alexander of Edgewater, MD, 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Morris "Sonny" Alexander; son Melvin Lee Sweatfield; daughter Laura Lynn Broadhead; granddaughter Shariah Casper; parents Marlin & Della Dalton; sisters Beth Ivie, Lawanna Dalton, Claudia Mayoh and brother Wayne Dalton. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday August 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Daniel Cemetery (240 Desmet Rd. Daniel, WY 83115) where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband Sonny. Memorial contributions in Lynne's memory can be made to the Green River Bar in Daniel, Wyoming.
