Lyle Bruce Porter, 71, of Big Piney, Wyoming passed away at his home on May 1, 2025 with his family at his side. Lyle was born May 3, 1953 in Riverton, Wyoming to Charles and Freda Porter, along with brothers Jim, Tom and Norm. He married his sweetheart Tara Twitchell in Kemmerer, Wyoming on September 28, 1974 in Kemmerer. To this union were born two sons, Charles T. and Karl L. Porter.

Lyle worked in the oilfield until losing his left arm in an oilfield accident. He loved the outdoors and cutting timber, camping, fishing and teasing his grandchildren.

Lyle is survived by his wife Tara; sons Charles (Kate) Porter and Karl (Shelly) Porter; grandchildren Austin, Garrett, Kailyn, Tanner, Ivy and great grandchildren Jorah, Karter, Spencer, Parker, Easton and Devrie. Cremation has taken place, and his family will have a private memorial service.
