Kathy Masters, 71, of Boulder, Wyoming passed away peacefully at her home November 23, 2023. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Kathy was born to Charles W. and Betty L. Hunt on July 30, 1952. She graduated from Kelly Walsh High School, Casper Wyoming in 1970. She married Stan Masters June 3, 1972, to this union two children were born, JR and Kelly. They later divorced but remained friends.
Kathy loved anything and everything about animals, including hunting and fishing, her babinies, Mr. King, Little Miss and all previous Babinies. She loved watching her grandchildren raise and show 4H goats.
She was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan to the end, through thick and thin, win or lose and even attended a home game in Denver Colorado. She also loved attending her grandson's football and wrestling matches in Rock Springs and Oregon.
Kathy and her mom owned and operated Kat's Steakhouse on main street. They reminisced that it was some of the best times of their lives, interacting with the wonderful people of Pinedale. She was a superb chef who also was the head cook at the Sublette Center for many years. After her years as a chef, she went on to work as a line locator supervisor for No Bull Construction. Kathy also had a wonderful comradery with family and friends at the Boulder Bar and Grill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. and Betty L. Hunt, along with both sets of grandparents and a niece Holly Nicole Bartlett.
The thing Kathy loved the most was her family: Survivors include her two sons JR (Toni), grandchildren Gavin and Brooklyn, Kelly (Heidie) grandchildren Baily and Joe Harrower. Siblings: Liz Bartlett, Chuck (Terry) Hunt, Sue (Donnie) Hanson, Rosemary (Dewight) Mickey, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no services at her request. Memorial contributions can be made to Happy Endings Animal Rescue in Pinedale Wyoming.
As one friend stated "Kathy will always be remembered by her mischievous smile and attitude. I will always think of her and smile."
