Obituary

Karmen Pape Marincic, 89, of Daniel, Wyoming passed away Thursday morning August 9, 2018 at the Sublette Center with her family at her side. Karmen was born February 23, 1929 on the Pape Ranch on 40 Rod in Daniel, Wyoming to Lester and Mary Pape. Karmen grew up on the family ranch and did her early schooling at the Bronx School close to the ranch; they either walked or skied to school. She attended 8th grade and freshman year in Pinedale and then she and her siblings went to Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Karmen then went on to graduate from the University of Wyoming with a Home Economics degree. She married Philip Marincic May 16, 1954 in Pinedale and moved to the Marincic Ranch. Together they were blessed with 5 children; Kay, Kenny, Andy, Eric and Nancy all in the span of a six year and 2 week timeframe. Karmen was the founding member of the Bronx Club, she was a Cowbelle and on the Council of Catholic Women. She joined the Catholic Church in the early 1970's and lived her faith at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She loved to play May I and enjoyed the Tuesday Pinochle game at Rendezvous Pointe. She collected rocks from her many miles of walking; cross country skiing was her passion in the winter. Karmen is survived by her brother Norman (Barb) Pape; sisters Nadine Babcock and Miriam Davison; children Kay (Jim) Malkowski, Kenny (Becky) Marincic, Andy (Patty) Marincic, Eric (Laura) Marincic, Nancy (Craig) Ritschel; Grandchildren Morgan and Matthew Malkowski, Erin Seims, Jason, Emily and Amanda Marincic, Desira' Light, Kasey Marincic, Nikki Weaver, Angela Enger and Sara Truluck; Eight great-grandkids and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Philip Marincic; parents Lester and Mary Pape; and her twin brother Kenneth who died at 3 weeks of age. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday August 13th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Rosary-Vigil will be held Sunday evening August 12th at 7:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow the services in the Pinedale Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Sublette Center or the Our Lady of Peace Church Building Fund.
