Joann Alice Sweedler, 86, of Pinedale, Wyoming passed away peacefully at her home October 23, 2021. Joann was born May 13, 1935 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho to Ralph G. and Esther M. (Yarger) Shurtleff. She grew up in Pinedale and completed her formal schooling here, graduating from Pinedale High School.  She married her sweetheart Robert D. "Bob" Sweedler on July 11, 1953 in Jackson, Wyoming. Together they raised their three children Robert W. born in 1954, Mark born in 1955 and Donna born in 1956. Joann enjoyed living in the quiet close community of Pinedale, and appreciated the wonderful friendships she and Bob made here over the years. She enjoyed being outdoors and going camping and fishing with her family. Joann is survived by her husband Bob, son Mark Sweedler and daughter Donna Wright. She is preceded in death by her son Robert W. Sweedler and her parents Ralph and Esther Shurtleff. A memorial service will be held Wednesday November 3 ^rd at 10:00 a.m. at Covill Funeral Home in Pinedale.
