James Wesley Hibben succumbed to a long illness December 13, 2019 in Pinedale, Wyoming. Jim as he was known to family and friends, was born June 13, 1945 in Spokane, Washington. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Wesley Elden Hibben and Celia Garrett Hibben Cox, brothers Billie Dean Hibben and Donald Roger Hibben and a sister Sally Ann Hibben and brother-in-law Edward S. Munger. He is survived by his siblings: Garrett W. Hibben (Linda) of LaGrange, KY; Frederick E. Hibben (Donalda) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Janeth M. Munger of Gunnison, Utah; S. Mikel Hibben (S. Gale) of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Cathy L. Murdock (Rex) of Monroe, Utah and Daryl E.S. Hibben (Jolene) also of LaGrange, Kentucky.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jim was known for his wry sense of humor and quick smile. His charming personality won him many friends. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served as a Radio Man. He was also a member of the Salt Lake City Eagles Lodge where he rose to be president. Under his service as president he led in providing seeing-eyed guide dogs to assist the blind. Jim worked as a chef for nearly thirty years at Stockman's Restaurant in Pinedale; he loved his job, those people he came to know through work and in the community and he enjoyed life in Sublette County.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday December 17th at 11:00 A.M. at Covill Funeral Home in Pinedale. Interment will follow the service in the Pinedale Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Jim's Memory can be made to the Sublette Center, P.O. Box 788, Pinedale, WY 82941
