Obituary

Jill Mary Tegeler, born on October 2, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI, departed from this world on November 30, 2023, in Pinedale, WY.

Jill's journey began with a passion for education, and she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Education. Her adventurous spirit led her to Cheyenne, WY, where she taught at Saint Mary's High School. It was there that she met the love of her life, Don Tegeler, and on June 15, 1968, they exchanged vows in Milwaukee.

In 1973, Jill and Don made their home in Pinedale where Jill transitioned her career to real estate and found great success taking over Allen Agency and becoming an integral part of the Wyoming Real Estate Association. Jill's commitment extended to community service, contributing to the Sublette County Chamber, The Food Basket among many others.

Her faith was central to her life, and she served in various roles at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Later, she continued her volunteer work with students at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Tucson during winter retreats.

Jill had a remarkable ability to connect with people, and she cherished the many friendships she cultivated over the years.  Her love for Wyoming was manifested in her enjoyment of hiking in the Wind River Mountains and cross-country skiing. Jill was a devoted supporter and fan of her children and grandchildren, attending their sporting events with enthusiasm and spirit.

Jill is survived by her brother, Jack Bardeen of Eagan, MN, her son, Kelly (Denise) Tegeler, daughter Kerry (Jay) Majhanovich, and three granddaughters: Shelbi Tegeler, Maggie Majhanovich, and Mandy Majhanovich all of Pinedale, WY.

Services will be held Saturday, Dec 16th at Our Lady of Peace at 11 am, with lunch to follow at 42 Broken Hills Dr in Pinedale.  In lieu of flowers, Jill's favorite charities were The Food Basket of Pinedale or Our Lady of Peace in Pinedale. Jill's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her legacy of kindness, adventure, and compassion will be a lasting tribute to her remarkable spirit.
