Jeanette Rose Campbell passed away May 6th, 2026 at the age of 82. Jeanette was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on January 10th, 1944, to Alfred and Opal Race. She was raised in Drumright, Oklahoma with her siblings Don Race and Ronald Race. She later went to live with her beloved grandpa Ora Race to take care of him until he passed away.

She married Lowell Lawrence Campbell on May 27th, 1966. Living in various places and raising 4 children, they eventually made Rawlins, Wyoming their home where she lived until her husband's death in 2025. She came to Sublette County to live with her daughter and, due to her health, lived at the Sublette Center and Heritage Home.

She was a stay-at-home mom, eventually getting her GED and taking a college psychology course, achieving a 4.0 GPA. She loved embroidery, gardening, playing the piano, and learned to transcribe braille for the blind.

She is survived by her children Basil (Pam) Campbell of Chicago, Illinois, Rhonda Campbell of Elkhart, Indiana, JoAnn (George) Wallace of Boulder, Wyoming; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell L. Campbell, grandparents Ora and Addie Race, and Lin and Violet Ingram; her parents Alfred and Opal Race; her brothers Don Race and Ronald Race; her son Lowell Campbell and grandson Nathaniel Kjelsrud.

Her wishes were to be cremated. Graveside services will be held in Rawlins, WY at a later date.
