Laura "Jean" Rahm, 85, of Pinedale passed away Wednesday September 21, 2016 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Services will be held at St. Andrew's in the Pines Episcopal Church Thursday September 29th at 10:00 A.M. interment will follow in the Cora Cemetery. Jean was born November 5, 1930 at the Daniel Fish Hatchery to Walter and Mary (Maime) Brewer. She went to school at the Bronx School and in Big Piney before graduating from eight grade in Pinedale. She acquired her GED in 1976. She married the love of her life, George Rahm on November 27, 1948 in Pinedale. They had one daughter, Barbara Jean Rahm born September 15, 1951. She passed away in 1983 leaving two children behind aged 9 and 11, whom they lovingly raised in their Daniel home. Prior to raising two grandchildren, Jean had an upholstery and taxidermy business. Many local fish were done by her hands and retain their beauty to this day. Numerous down coats she made or repaired are still worn by the locals. Her sewing skills were well known. She was also an exceptional artist in her own right. She has an antelope painting in the Smithsonian Museum; two more of her paintings were raffled off to raise money to build the Daniel Volunteer Fire Department. She was also a big part of the Daniel Schoolhouse Community Center as well as the Bronx Club. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and a 55 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary along with her duties at St. Andrew's in the Pines Church. She is survived by her husband George Rahm; granddaughter MeLissa Binning of Pinedale; grandson Dwayne (Ashley) Burson of Bartlesville, OK; great-granddaughters Samantha (Bill) Jackson of Kearney, NE and Tinsley Binning of Laramie, WY; great-grandson Dillon Burson of Tulsa, OK; brother Jim Brewer of Riverton, WY; and sister-in-law Edie Brewer of Laramie, WY. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Barbara Jean Rahm, brothers Bobby and Clifford Brewer, twin sister Stella June Mays and sister Mary Brewer.
