Jazmin (Jazzy) Castillo was born November 5, 2002 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  She was the second born to Jose and Cheryl Castillo.  She was the second of three including Noemy and Jayden Castillo.  The family made their home in Big Piney, Wyoming, where she attended school her whole life.  She was an honor roll student, student of the month, member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and GEAR UP.  Jazzy excelled academically and was dually enrolled in Big Piney High School and Western Wyoming Community College during this, her junior and senior year.  She was a member of the Sublette County Rock Hounds club.

Jazzy was a remarkable person from the very beginning – she had tireless energy and endless patience; was active, curious, and creative; she was a dedicated big sister playing with her little brother, and an admiring little sister with her big sister.  Jazzy was a fiery young woman who spoke her mind when necessary, a loyal and loving friend who would stand up for others, offer advice, and comfort those in distress.  She liked to laugh, sing, and hang-out.  She enjoyed being in the mountains, hunting was her favorite excuse to do so.  Spending time with her friends and her family, and watching movies was how Jazzy spent her time.  Jazzy was Spiderman's biggest fan.  She strived to be first to like Tom Holland's Instagram posts and stood in line for hours at Disneyland to see him in person!  Most people don't know this about Jazzy but she was passionate about her drawings.

Jazzy was the strongest women we know.  When she was 10 years old she was diagnosed with cancer in her left eye, she fought 48 hard long months and won.  Then three months later it came back with vengeance, she fought another year and half and KICKED CANCER'S ASS AGAIN! She was cancer free for a wonderful five years.  Then a short ten months ago she was diagnosed with stomach cancer and she fought HARD.  In our eyes she WON her battle.  Jazzy touched many lives and will be loved and remembered by those who she touched.

She is preceded in death by Paternal Grandpa Isabel Castillo, Aunt Chela Castillo.  Maternal Great Grandma Virginia Borgillia, and Great Great Grandma Alice Lund.

She is survived by her parents, Jose and Cheryl Castillo of Marbleton, Wyoming; siblings, Noemy and Jayden Castillo; nephew Ryder Midkiff; grandparents, Jim and Leane Gray, Diana Garcia, Leticia Miranda; great-grandfather, Jim Gray; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and best friends Adrianna Ruby and Hayden Thoman.

A Celebration of Life is planned for December 12, 2020, in the Event Center at the Sublette County Fairgrounds in Big Piney, Wyoming at 2:00pm.
