James Robert Gray, 94, of Boulder, WY passed away November 29, 2014.
James was born July 2, 1920 in Kittanning, PA to Homer Samuel and Ellen Anna (Gibson) Gray. James married the love of his life Hannah Eva King August 23, 1941 together they raised 8 children.
Jim served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army; He was stationed in the Philippines and Japan. After his retirement, in 1982, working for the State of Pennsylvania he and Hannah moved Wyoming to be with their sons.
Western Pennsylvania was always in his heart; he remained an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He also became a diehard fan of the Wyoming Cowboys. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & the outdoors. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. and was a gifted wood craftsman.
He is survived by his sons Harold and Bradley (Julie) Gray; Brother Kenneth Gray; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Hannah; his parents; Daughters Mary Ellen & Esther Louise Gray; Sons James Robert Gray Jr., Kenneth Gerald Gray, Nathan Wayne Gray, & David Earl Gray; 5 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
A funeral service will be held Saturday December 6 at 11:00 AM at Covill Funeral Home in Pinedale. Friends and family may call the evening prior to the service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday Morning.
Interment and military graveside honors will follow in the Pinedale Cemetery.
