Irvin L. Parke, 96, of Pinedale passed away Sunday June 8, 2025 at the Sublette Center in Pinedale. Irvin was born January 19, 1929 in Dixon, Illinois to Cecil Gregory and Viola Bertha (Mumford) Parke. He was born into a family of four other siblings and was the last surviving of the family. Irvin grew up in Dixon and graduated from Dixon High School in 1947. He joined the Army after high school and was called to and served in the Korean War. Upon his return he furthered his education and earned his masters degree. Irvin worked as a gunsmith, taught at college as a professor and was an automotive master mechanic throughout his life. He enjoyed target shooting, hunting & fishing an loved being in the outdoors of Sublette County. He married his sweetheart A.J. Parke November 21, 1980 in Green River, Wyoming; she precedes him in death. Irvin was a member of the Pinedale V.F.W. Post 4801, The American Legion and the Pinedale Gun Club. His wishes were to be cremated, and a graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday June 28th at 9:00 a.m. at the Pinedale Cemetery.
