Edris Evelyn McAlary Moore, 78, passed away at her home in Big Piney, Wyoming October 8, 2019. Edris was born March 6, 1941 in Collbran, Colorado to Charles A. and Hazel M. (Bowman) McAlary. She had four brothers and two sisters; Betty (Bill) Johnson, Melvin McAlary, Ralph (Janet) McAlary, Chad (Tammy) McAlary, Bruce (Nancy) McAlary and Joyce (Mark) Alvarez. She was raised on a small ranch in Rifle and graduated from Rifle High School in 1959.

She married Norlin Carl Moore on February 14, 1960 in Rifle, Colorado. To this union were born two daughters, Angela K. Moore Streeter and Julie Lynn Moore Mockler. In 1969 she and Norlin moved to Big Piney. Edris loved the outdoors. She and Norlin hunted, fished and camped as a family and she had a real passion for taking pictures; she never went anywhere without her camera. She loved hosting family reunions. She spent months gathering, coordinating and setting everything up. She also spent much of her time on the family history books and she always made sure she had enough food to feed a small army.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all her friends. She is survived by her husband Norlin; daughters Angela and Julie; sister Betty and brothers Ralph, Chad and Bruce; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Hazel McAlary; brother Melvin; sister Joyce and one great-grandchild.

Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held.
