Eb Scott Richie, 62, of Boulder, Wyoming passed away peacefully, March 15, 2025 at his home with his family at his side after a battle with cancer. Eb was born April 24, 1962 in Jackson, Wyoming to Jeptha E. and Barbara (Vaughn) Richie joining two older sisters, Carole Richie and Lynne Latham. He grew up and spent his life ranching in Boulder. Eb went to school in Pinedale and graduated from Pinedale High School going on to college at Casper College. He loved riding bulls and rode bulls at high school rodeos, college rodeos and in the PRCA. He went to Canada one year and won the bull riding on the Canadian circuit for the year. While in Canada he was an outrider in the chuckwagon races for the Helmecs, and then placed second for the season. Eb won a saddle in 1984 for winning the bull riding in the L.R.A. After he was done bull riding on the circuits, he came home to the Richie Ranch where he raised his family, Jeptha A., Devon, Trista and Cinch. He did a little bull riding at local rodeos and was a judge for the riding events. The last part of his life he had a sidekick, AnaMarie. Continuing to run the ranch as his forbearers did was what was important to him. Eb belonged to the Green River Valley Cattlemen's Assn. and the New Fork-East Fork Cattle Assn. Eb loved to go fishing and hunting when time permitted. Jeptha (Meghan), Devon (Stephanie) and grandson, Everett, Trista and Cinch are now on the ranch. Eb was preceded in death by his sister, Lynne; parents, Jep and Barbara Richie; uncle, Norm Richie. There will be a celebration of life on June 7, 2025 at the Richie Ranch.
