Dixie Lee Bredthauer, 79, of Pinedale, WY passed away unexpectedly at the Pinedale Clinic in Pinedale, WY. on May 19, 2025. Dixie was born in Lusk, Wy. on October 30, 1945. She grew up in Lance Creek, WY. Her father passed away in 1953 when she was 8 years old. Her stepfather, Gilbert Snell married her mother in 1957. She attended 1st through the 8th Grade in Lance Creek, WY. She graduated from Niobrara County High School Lusk WY in 1964. She married Ray Bredthauer in Lusk, WY in 1964 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She attended beauty school in Laramie, WY in 1965. She worked for 12 years as a business owner and hairdresser in Pinedale, WY. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. In 2023 Dixie was president of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She loved journaling, scrap booking, camping, boating and going for drives to see the changing leaves in the fall. Dixie is survived by husband Ray Bredthauer and 3 children; Troy Bredthauer, Darwin Bredthauer-Amy; Teresa Bredthauer-Jon Dollar; 3 grandchildren Saria (Bredthauer) McLean-Brandon, Malak Bredthauer-Sophia, and Jarak Bredthauer; 2 great grandchildren Rossi McLean and Ryler McLean; Her brother Robert James Miller-Marilyn Hughs, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, George Miller, her stepfather Gilbert Snell, her mother Dorothy Snell, her brother Raymond Miller, her adopted brother Ronnie Snell. Funeral Service will be held May 31, 2025 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church 512 N Tyler St. Pinedale, WY. at 2:00 p.m. Viewing at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the church after the grave side service. Family wishes memorial contributions go to the (LWML) associated with Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Pinedale WY. On the morning of her passing, Dixie was still full of life and was excited about upcoming summer events. She was beautiful inside and out, a true blessing to all that knew her. She will be missed beyond words.
