Daphne Kay Davis Platts, 76, of Pinedale passed away peacefully Tuesday morning February 14, 2017 at the Sublette Center. Daphne was born April 1, 1940 in Macon, Georgia to Jay M. and Mary Elizabeth Davis. She married Dr. James L. Platts February 24, 1962 in Green River, Wyoming. Together they raised three sons.  Daphne worked as a librarian at the Sublette County Library. She loved her career there and assisting the people and children of this community. During her tenure as library director she supervised the construction of the new library in Pinedale and the addition that now houses the Lovatt Room and the art gallery, as well as the new addition to the library in Big Piney. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. James Platts; her parents Jay M. and Elizabeth Davis and infant daughter Susan Maurine Platts. She is survived by her three sons Warren James Platts, Michael Scott Platts and Joel Jay Platts. Cremation has been entrusted to Covill Funeral Home and a memorial service for Daphne will be held in the summer.
