Obituary

Curtis was born in Craig Colorado on November 15, 1953. He passed away at his place of residence April 8, 2024 in Riverton Wyoming. One summer, on the coast in Oregon, he met his future wife in 1971.  He married Lori Hendricks in 1973 at the Grange Hall in Yachats. After the wedding, they moved out to Big Piney Wyoming where they began the next part of their lives. Curtis had moved to Riverton Wyoming a time after Lori passed in search of a better climate to suit his liking.

Curtis worked for nearly 54 years in the oil and gas fields of Wyoming as a contractor, roustabout, hot oil and water truck operator and finally as a lease operator in the Jonah Field. He served his community as a volunteer firefighter for 32 years. He loved to help his church family and anyone else who was in need. He also loved fishing, building models and doing work in his yard.

Curtis is survived by his half- brothers Harrison Hendricks & Wes Hendricks, his brother Tom (Janice) Hendricks;
His three children Jennifer (Michael) Petty & their children Justice, Andrew, Jadon & Aaron Petty; Curtis M. Hendricks (Partner Alisha Moates) & her children Kayin, Jack and Tayla Moates; Bryan (Justine) Hendricks & their children Hadassah, Malakiy & Elijah Hendricks.
