On December 11th 2019 Claudie Meyer was called quietly home to Heaven.

Claudie Mae Fitzpatrick Meyer was born on February 19, 1930 in Torrance CA to Claude and Mable Fitzpatrick (Priebe). She was raised in the LaBarge/Big Piney area of Wyoming.

In 1948 she met a very handsome Bill Meyer on a blind date and they were married 3 months later. They were married for 60 years. They traveled a lot with Bill's job until they settled permanently in Pinedale in 1959, starting Pinedale Chevron. They had one daughter, Sandy, in 1957.

Claudie was very active in the community. She was a member of St Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church, Aglo, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 39, Job's Daughters, Business and Professional Women, NOW (National Organization of Women), VFW Ladies Auxiliary and of course The Pinedale Food Basket.

Claudie saw a great need in our community to help families have enough food to eat. It went from just food for a few months for a few people into what it is today. She was very proud of this endeavor and felt it brought the community together.

Claudie was proceeded in death by her son Claude Frederick Meyer, husband Bill Meyer and her parents Claude Fitzpatrick and Mable and Lester Priebe. She is survived by her daughter Sandy and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 8th at 2:00 p.m. at St Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church. Interment will be this summer in the Pinedale Cemetery.
