Charles Ervin, "Chuck" Vitt, 95, of Pinedale passed away at the Sublette Center Friday August 13, 2021. Charles was born June 20, 1926 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Ervin A. and Mabel (Osborune) Vitt. After high school Charles served his country in the United States Marine Corps; He was a proud marine that served in both WWII and the Korean War. He married his sweetheart Diane Perry on June 19, 1974 in Boulder, Colorado and they have been together in Pinedale ever since. Charles was an avid fisherman, he loved catching fish on a bubble and fly and his favorite fishing spot was up to Soda Lake. He also enjoyed following his football team the Denver Broncos. Chuck is survived by his wife Diane; children Sue (Dave) Johnson, Pete (Bonnie) Vitt, Marty (Cindy) Vitt, John Vitt, Cindy (Ricky) Richards, Lance (Elizabeth) Vitt and Brandt Vitt and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his beloved dog Charlie. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons Chuck and Ervin and his daughter Beverly. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
