Bobby Joe (Carter) Smith, 40, resident of Pinedale, WY and Layton, UT passed away at his home in Pinedale, suddenly and unexpectedly, Friday December 19, 2014 of an undetermined medical condition.

Bobby was born July 5, 1974 in San Diego, CA to Gloria Ione (Peterson) and Jon R. Carter.

He graduated from Pinedale High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He married Shawnee M. Mitchell on April 11, 1994 in Pinedale. To this union were born two sons Zachary and Caleb Smith.

He split his time working in the Gas fields of Sublette Co. and his home and family life in Utah.

Bobby loved the mountains and being outdoors; he loved fishing, music and hanging out with his boys.

He is survived by his wife Shawnee; sons Zachary & Caleb; parents Jon & Gloria Smith of Grand Forks, ND; sisters Debbie (Emery) Lamont, Marie (Ken) Egan and Cindy Ross; brothers Benjamin Smith and Richard (Robin) Minner and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Covill Funeral Home.  Memorial services will be held Tuesday December 30th at 11:00 AM at Lindquist Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT.
